HOW TO UNLOCK ANDROID PHONES WHEN YOU FORGET THE PIN/PATTERN

If you've forgotten your password/pattern after locking your phone for security reasons, use the "Forgot Pattern" feature.

  • If your device is running Android 4.4 or lower, try using the "Forgot Pattern" feature.
After 5 failed unlock attempts, you'll see a message that says "Try again in 30 seconds." While this message is showing, tap the button at the bottom of the screen that says "Forgot Pattern."
Proceed and click on the "Forgot pattern/password"

From here, choose "Enter Google account details" (depending on your device, you may go directly to this option), then click Next.

Now insert your Google account that you've signed up with on Google play store already or your Gmail adress login info you've been using on that particular phone till the time it got locked, and click on the "Sign in" button after you're done.

  • Second option, you can also perform a Factory Reset.
If you're not concerned with getting your phone's data wiping, a factory reset should work for you, but due to a new anti-theft feature called Factory Reset Protection, you'll need to know your Google account password to use this method if the phone was released in 2016 or later.

The process will vary depending on your device type, but for most phones, start by powering the device completely off. When the screen goes black, press and hold the Volume Down Button, the Home Button and the Power Button respectively at the same time, which will bring up Android's bootloader menu.

From here, press the volume down button to move dowards to highlight the "wipe data/factory reset" option, then press the power button to select it. After that, your phone will automatically restart by itself. *Make sure you have adequate battery life before carrying on with this exercise.

If it's a newer phone, you'll be prompted to log in with the Google account and password that was previously used on the phone before it was locked. As long as you know this information (which you should), it's just a matter of logging back into your Google account to regain access to your phone at this point.

iTunes Is Now Illegal - British Law Affirms

APPLE VS UK's HIGH COURT
British law has pronounced iTunes illegal, not because it's so bloated or using it has become a complete pain.

AFTERMATH OF THE "AM" APP LAUNCH
iTunes has taken a lot of heat in the aftermath of Apple Music app launch, with some critics declaring that the "app" should be dismantled and rebuilt from scratch. But now British law has actually rendered iTunes illegal.

THE JUDGEMENT
The United Kingdom's High Court just ruled that copying music from your personal CD collection to iTunes violates copyright law and so does backing up your music library to an external hard drive or cloud storage service. Thus, ripping a CD to iTunes is illegal.

EXPLANATION
"It is now unlawful to make private copies of copyright works any R.O.M you own, without the permission of the copyright holder. This includes format shifting from one medium to another," - a UK IPO spokesper.

APPLE'S NEXT MOVE ON THE RULING
Apple might go to court to defend iTunes, because it seems very clearly to violate the new law. Apple Music, and iTunes are now all illegal in UK, because they make copies of your music files.

THE VIEW OF BRITISH GOVERNMENT
The British government is apparently not thrilled with the High Court's decision, the IPO office said the government is "carefully considering the implications of the ruling and the available options before deciding any future course of action.

*If you live in the UK and have copies of your music library on your computer like any other person, don't freak too much. Apparently the government is pretty sure that no one has been taken to court over CD ripping for personal use.
..That's relieving.
